Application for studies abroad

The application must be submitted no later than 1 February for the coming academic year.

When you apply, it is important that you have checked that you can go to the partner universities that you are interested in, ie that we have an agreement with the partner university in your subject area and that they have courses that you can get credited in your education.

You are insured through Kristianstad University, but we still want to draw your attention to the fact that some universities in the USA have not accepted our insurance. They require that an insurance suggested by them is arranged for. This insurance costs about 2,000 - 3,000 SEK.

Unfortunately, not everyone can get their first choice, but we make the selection based on your grades according to nomination rules at Kristianstad University  (In Swedish only so far pdf, 714 kB)

How to make your application:

  • Use your regular HKR login - your username is written in CAPITALS (type ABCD1234, not e-mail address)
  • Fill in the form (Select "Student exchange", correct academic year and correct semester)
  • You will receive an email to your student email with a link, where you log in again and continue to fill in information
  • upload a photo
  • print out your application and submit to your contact person
